Serving as a supporting designer; working on visioning and design concept, space planning and floor plan development, design development, interior renderings, coordination with experiential graphic team, construction documentation, coordination with MEP and structural consultants, reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
The entry to this campus leads through a large 2-story atrium space. In response to the size of the space, our design team developed a larger than life branding feature. The curvilinear reception desk/bench/planter creates a welcoming environment through it's soft curves and greenery reflective of the local landscape.
Past the entry, building users are greeted by the monumental stair connecting the first and second floor. Serving as both a hang-out space for students and as a space for potential students to meet with staff, the welcome center provides a number of different seating arrangements to cater to all different types of users.
This space serves as overflow for the community rooms to the right. With a number of furniture settings including tables, students can also utilize this space to study and hang out.
Students can access different support resources, such as meetings with faculty or staff and accessing the food and scrubs bank. The fourth floor of the building is primarily reserved for faculty and staff and the resources students are accessing are either the employees themselves or are managed by staff, which determined its' adjacency to the faculty and staff spaces.
